I've got one of these :-
http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster...the-prod570771
A Sieg CQ6230b manual lathe which has served me well for the past 3yrs but it's recently gone sizzle/phut. It's 240v & power is definately getting into the machine, I've identified that the transformer was faulty & temp' wired in a replacement with no joy.
I'm hopeless with lektronix & the missus is begging me to "get a man in".
Anyone in the Notts/Derbys area who can visit & have a looksee? The (mainly 24v) components seem OK quality but the wiring seems pretty poor (even by my standards).
I also have a Syil SX3 which has earn't me a lot of money, she's getting on a bit now & could do with a good re-build, ways, gibbs & spindle bearings etc.
I'd be prepared to transport it to anyone capable/competant of giving her a thorough seeing too & extending her life span.
You are my only hope.
