    simple tool changer could be a toolholder rack mounted at the extreme of your xy travel and a program to make the machine place the tool in the rack and get another out?

    If you want pics of a tool holder in bits, so you can see how it worked, I took the toolchanger off my mill as I wanted to keep it simple to start with.
