Seasons Greetings to everyone, My name is Hugh, I live in the Arctic Circle (INVERNESS).
I have no practical hands on experience of machine tools, as I cheat and tend to opt for photochemical engraving, I make Printed circuit boards, I am about to start making multi layer stack ups, I will try eight layers first. I might be able to assist some of your members with electronic related problems, I also program embedded micro controllers, in particular the Texas Instruments range of DSP's and MCU's. I found you site through a search engine
and I am very interested in building my own Pick and Place machine, as I have just designed my Drill table I thought it might be fun to incorporate the drill with the Pick & Place, and yes I am using Image recognition to place, Full HD, cameras are only 15 Quid from Micron semiconductors (Available from Digikey), just add a TI Davinci 646,
it can handle HD 3D as well !:tup:
