	01-01-2011 #1Hi all,

I have an X2 Mill and Warco BV-20 lathe in a small workshop (shed!). The mill already has a Shumatech 350 DRO but I was looking to CNC it one day. I am just starting to fit an ELS to the lathe so this will probably not be CNC'd. My main CNC interest is in building a desktop router. I am aiming for something that will range from PCB work to light metal use.

I look forward to participating in the forum.

 Len

01-01-2011 #2Hi Len and welcome to the site. Our first member of 2011  Plenty of ideas, info and help to support you in your endeavour. Interesting about the ELS... I looked at this once but got the impression that the idea had been quietly dropped?

The ELS I referred to is John Dammeyer's http://www.autoartisans.com/ELS/ .
 There's also a Yahoo Group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/E-LeadScrew/

It will meet my lathe needs for a while
