Built a gantry type cnc machine as an exercise, not rigid enough for
some clock parts I would like to make.
I have bought an SPG9512 from SPG Tools and I am extremely pleased
with it's tolerences and rigidity. My research on DRO's led me to this site,
particularly the use of chinese vernier calipers in a simple DRO setup.
Thinking of going the Shumatech way at the moment, but will search
for awhile for alternatives.
Regards
Dave

Hi Dave and welcome to the site. Clock making and CNC seem to be two increasingly symbiotic hobbies
