Good day all.
I am wanting to start learning how to do Digitizing?
I have a few things that I want to try digitizing.
To start with I was thinking piston crown, and flywheel.
But I don't know where to start.
I don't have a multiaxis probe, so I will be doing it the cheap way, grounding the item, and using a 1mm tool connected to the probe port.
So I would like you help and advice, on how to get started.
Thanks for your time.
Best Regards."If first you don't succeed, redefine success"

Only thing relating to digitizing I've ever stumbled across, is the video digitizing board on the mach forums - http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?board=67.0

I havent tried any scanning myself but i have heard that the probe method can run into hours scanning relatively small parts then you need point cloud compatible software to make sense of the file.
Maybe have a look here http://www.david-laserscanner.com/
