Stepper Motor Wire Colour Codes

Is there a standard colour code for nema motors ?
there should be , they are standardized motors arnt they??

AFAIK the NEMA standard for motors only standardizes the sizes of the mountings i.e. all 23s are the same all 34s etc.. I'm pretty certain there is no standardization of wire colours. Here's a killer example that makes it even worse than you might at first think. The M60STH88 (a replacement for) and the FL60STH86 have the same colour wires and they all refer to the same "coil ends" if you see what I mean - BUT the STARTS of the coils are different! Bit me right in the *ss that one!
