Thread: Cutting out a circle

Hi my hand router broke and I need to program my ELU 860 CNC by hand as I have not got it working from the computer yet. I need to do a circle with a 90mm diameter and a cut out depth of 18mm. Can any one tell me what code I need to insert to achieve this?
I would appreciate any help.

I'd be inclined to spiral down counterclockwise for a hole, clockwise for a spigot. The only missing data for a G code is tool diameter and start point.
If you program a G code arc which ends at it's start point the machine goes full circle.

hi'ya martin, not 100% sure but see att.pdf, it's a long time since I did anything on an ELU-kelef WARNING check your +/- directions and abs/inc in program. you can post a sample program to be checked
