    The Geckodrive G540 recommends current set resistors on each drive, of 1000 ohms/ammp of rated stepper motor current.

    Is this also required for other types of driver? E.G the Gecko 203 of the Arc Euro 4.2 amp unit?

    Not all driver use resisters to set the current anymore.
    A lot of the new drivers use switches to set the current.
