I would like to know the drill size for tapping the following threads
m5
m6
m8
m10

if you know the pitch of the thread, take it from the diameter.
thread size - pitch = tapping drill size
m5 - 0.8 = 4.2
m6 - 1 = 5
m8 - 1.25 = 6.75
m10 - 1.5 = 8.5

If I'd noticed your post a bit sooner you could have had a few of mine as I keep plenty of spares for the tapping sizes.
Also thread diameter-pitch is only a guide ... hard materials will be easier to drill slightly (0.1mm) bigger. Since 6.75 is not standard you'll want 6.8mm or 6.9mm.
