Decided to dive in and build myself a cnc router for fun.
Having searched the net and downloaded many plans i settled for the most cost effective starting point and started building.
i now have all 3 axis built and moved onto the electronics/drives.
now the problems start !! grrrrrrr......
try as i might i am unable to get even 1 stepper motor to run !!!!
so prepare for further posts begging for help

Be affraid very affraid.!!!. . . Dont let out the the Magic smoke.!!
Nah not really but do be carefull it's quite easy to do if your not used to electrics, esp stepper drives. Heres a couple of don't's
Don't discontect the motors from the drives with power on.!!. . .BIG NO NO and Ka-boom to the drives.!!
Don't supply more than the drives rated voltage another Magic smoke release point.!!
Don't wire the motor phase's wrong, while it doesn't kill all drives it will some of the lesser cheaper ones.!
Just ask if your stuck before trying something your unsure about and could cost you a drive.!! . . . .No question too dumb only the one you didn't ask before frying the drives. .
