Cutting no 29 in a batch of 30 parts for someone and the cross travel ballnut failed. Looks like the little plastic guide snapped, last photo, and the balls got stuck and jammed the screw. Part ruined and a new ball nut required.

Cleaned it out in the tank and I cant see any swarf in it so it looks like it just died.
After last Friday when someone ran into the back of me with a 7.5T Iveco on the motorway I thought I had used up all my bad luck in one go but it looks like I found some more from somewhere.
