    Only thing I can suggest is to look on the auction sites for someone selling an older version of the software, would imagine most people will sell it with a machine rather than as a stand alone program.

    Have you asked then if there is a trial or training version of the software available at a reduced price seeing as you only want it to learn & it won't actaully be conected to a machine.
