Wow - I had no idea that was a bearing block - thought it was a dedicated motor mount.

Thanks for the replies people, will have another look round ebay & also have a think about Ant's way round it. Surprised that most of the people who sell the spindles don't also sell the mounts as well.

Agree... also surprised that they don't offer more variety of ballnut mounts!

A little while ago Jonathan was making 80mm spindle mounts, so I bought a pair... they look the business... I would give him a shout.....

I reckon there's a good little sideline for someone with enough nous to start a website specialising in custom spindle mounts...because everyone hits the same issue "where the hell do I buy a mount"....and it's catch 22 - i.e. your machine isn't built yet, so you can't make your own blah blah. (and my machine wouldn't be able to cut ali anyway once built!)
