    No router is far too fast for most Metals. Certainly less than ideal for Steel and completely useless for stainless and Titanium.

    Separate spindle and motor attached by belt drive is your best option, like milling machines do it. If you have access to a lathe then it's not difficult to build your own using an ER collet spindle.
