Very sorry to read about your problems.
Clearly the ideal solution is replacement by the supplier or manufacturer. If you bought it within the EU you should have some protection (unlike our pommie friends since Friday) and it may be worth checking if your method of purchase offers any protection or insurance.
If they refuse to help you then there may be people on this site with experience of dismantling and repairing these spindles who can advise you. It sounds like a bearing problem which is something you may be able to repair yourself with the right help.An optimist says the glass is half full, a pessimist says the glass is half empty, an engineer says you're using the wrong sized glass.
