Hi Geoff, wellcome to the site. No deep intake of breath here - maybe some heavy breathing (I love all cnc machines).Ignore the work and start playing. Good luck. G.

Welcome to the forum Geoff, biggest problem with a lot of stuff coming from China is the insturction manuals & the lack of support but for someone like yourself who already has experience with the machines it won't be a problem.
Other thing is people buying cheaper machines & then complaining that they can't cut 12mm stainless with it.

Looks like the generic 6040 machine. Weak point on these is the controller but it's not hard to replace it with something a lot more durable.
The main cost is in the mechanical parts on these, not the electronics.

Price wise you should be looking around £1200

    err..no... this is 1320 x 600 = the shipping was $570!

Time will tell as to how durable it is, I spoke with another guy who bought the same, who said that it was great, couldn't buy the parts for the money & may upgrade bits in due course. Ignorance is bliss - so I went for it!
