Thread: PCI Motion Controllers

I'm currently looking at PCI motion controllers for another project. This project will not be any type of router, mill, lathe etc it will be a multi axis spring forming / wire bending machine and will need to have custom software written for it. G Code programming is a complete no-no for this type of machine.
The PCI controllers I've looked at so far come with DLL library which is used to interface to the controller through any custom software I write, no problem with this as I've been dabbling with Visual Basic and C for years. Where I am uncertain is the type of control features I might need the card to perform.
Has anyone any experience of using PCI Controllers for stepper/servo systems?
