Yes, with an electric fan, the air cooled has more advantages.
Easier to mount, as it just bolts to the Z plate.
No water cooling setup needed.
With an electric fan, the noise level and rpm range become equal to the water cooled.
I've been using 10+HP air cooled spindles on big routers for over 15 years with no issues.Gerry
