These old Wadkins change hands on Ebay for around £1000-1500 and if you have the space they are a good buy in my opinion. I have seen some good mach conversions and for bulk processing stuff like guitar bodies and necks they are ideal. I remember seen some high end videos of guitar factories in the US and they were using machines like this for 3d profiling the wood stock.
Getting old parts is going to be hard and expensive. best bet would be new servo motors, budget £3-4000 for a new set of good quailty chinese servo packs.CNC routing and prototyping services www.cncscotland.co.uk
