Hi Guys, I know this is a very long shot but has anyone heard of any government scheme or a place near Preston with woodmaching equipment that might allow me to use it for projects ?

What type of machining are you seeking to do ?

Unless you want large machines all of those things come in quite compact sizes at decent prices. Unless you don't have the room you could always sell them again. Local joiners are usually okay to do planing and thicknessing although it's better if you can do it yourself.
A bandsaw is a must and while it's possible to hand plane, a thicknesser is essential too, other than that I managed for years with just hand tools for the rest.Last edited by EddyCurrent; 02-02-2014 at 09:30 PM.
