    I worried about the steppers on my machine which probably reach that kind of temp. When I googled it a bit, the general view was that steppers do run hot, and I seem to remember figures of over 100C being normal. I don't worry if it's too hot to touch as long as it isn't hot enough to boil water (i.e. fizz when you touch it with a wet fingertip). I did turn down the max current a bit, which helped.
