Hi, Anyone know where i can source a short length of about 50-100mm of the above at a reasonable price please?

I have found a 150mm solid bar and then machine out the excess but it'd be nice to need to machine it.

Oooh that's so close ill remeasure just in case. How much is it and can you cut to size?

How much do you need, I can cut but will be with a bandsaw/jigsaw so will not be accurate, you will have to clean up.

Maybe be possible to part off in my lathe with a bit of jiggery pokey, how accurate do you need

Lets say 75mm of tube. This will give me 5mm for cutting and adjustment.

Have dragged it out of my loft where it has been for ~50yrs

May not be what you want now that I have got it where I can measure it. I guess it is actually 5.5" od with .375 wall ( 149.5 x 9.6 )

I don't know the spec but it rings quite well and machines OK, it was an off-cut from the switch arms at a large sub-station.



~80mm would be £10 in the post.
