Thread: Boxford TCL 160 tool alignment

How does the Boxford TCL 160 know when a drill mounted in the turret is aligned to the centre of the work piece ?
There seems to be a conduit attached to the slide, which isn't associated to the motors, so are there hidden homing switches in there somewhere ?
Adrian.

I'd think something like a Boxford would have homing switches for both axis.
After which it's just a case of programming the correct offset.Avoiding the rubbish customer service from AluminiumWarehouse since July '13.

There are what appear to be two magnetic proximity switches buried under a cover on the slide.
I'm assuming they're magnetic as they have three wire connections, link to 0v and 12v on the control board and don't click when activated
