Like njhussey said, fedex sent my charge a few days later, but at the end of the day its not that much was about £15

Generally speaking, the Chinese exporters understate the value with respect to the price you paid, so £15 on £150 ain't bad, considering VAT is 20%.

I'm a complete newbie to cnc's and had read about a few clones out there of different boards, drivers etc. So I wanted to make sure by opening one up (and I can't help taking things apart as soon as I get something) and asking the community what they thought. Also just voided the one warranty, the other 2 are still sealed.

Since you've got the cover off, can you read the name of the control IC they use? The one labelled U4. It'd be mildly interesting to know...

Plus I bet about £10 of that was Fedex's 'Advancement Fee', or whatever their latest excuse is to charge more.

Invoice and delivery ticket states total value of £30, so no idea if there are any extra charges, but if it's £15 or so that's fine by me. :)

As for U4, it; as well as a few other ic's have been spray painted black so I couldn't tell you what they are using.
