It has arrived and it multiplied in transit!

the guy had two of them and he wanted them both gone. Looks like there will be one for me

i have aver since stripped off the motors from one to try and bench test a the motors with whatever drivers etc I end up with. i don't have much info on the motors yet but they look to be 8 wire unipolar by default. Going to try running them bipolar.

For a small lathe like this I'm thinking running it in series rather than parallel as these may only be 1a motors?.. Recommendations?

also anyone used bob from cnc4you?

    more photos to come!

All electronics ordered from cnc4you. Went the digital.driver route With a 36v supply.

Everything is now wired up and housed witwithin an old xbox enclosure. Perfect size!

The min is there temporarily until I can get some nylon standoffs.

The motors were tested tonight and they live!! The little one is getting a bit warm which I'm concerned about. They are wired in series.as they are only 1 amp per phase motors.

    This correct?
