Thread: MT2 TO R8 Spindle
-

Good afternoon all,
I currently have a Chester 20v Mill which has been converted to CNC. I'm aware these machines are similar to others that have a R8 spindle, Is there a machine similar enough to take the complete spindle and motor and fix to my machine to replace the MT2 spindle.
any advice much appreciated.

Just curious, but is there a specific tool you can't find with MT2 shank, or why would you want to go R8? The tool range with MT2 shank kinda matches the maximum rigidity of that machine.

Have you had a look at this thread: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/bencht...omparison.html
they all seem to be from the same patterns so I would be surprised if you cannot get the spindle you want. If you bought new, maybe Chester can get you one delivered from China.
