Hi,
I've been milling MDF, but I noticed my cutter (5mm dia HSS 3 flute up cut) was a tiny bit black at the bottom, and after last time it's SERIOUSLY blackened, I assume this means its damaged, and I've not routed fast enough.
The profile cut settings were 2.5mm pass depth (9mm depth material), 15000 RPM, feed 3900 mm/min, should I step that feed up to 4000+?
Any advice would be brilliant. I'm not sure whether to use the cutter again or not too, it's still sharp to touch, it just looks like the bottom 3-4mm of it has spent the night in a chimney!
Cheers, Mark.
