Thread: Power supply

I have just bought a 60w laser cutter / engraver and I live in an area with a 'dirty' power supply with power micro blips and voltage reductions.
Is it necessary to run the machine through a UPS? I have a CNC router for which the computer and router are protected by a UPS, do I need to connect the laser as well?
If I do, what sort of power will the machine be likely to require from the UPS to continue running?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
