Thread: CNC router choice out there.

Hello All! New to this site hoping to get some tips and knowledge from these forums once i get my router.
Basically I'm searching to buy a router that I can use to make stuff mainly out of wood, a router that would cut 18mm with ease.
Im a joiner at trade and looking to make some projects on the side as a hobby and see how it goes from there.
I was wondering if you guys can point me in the the right direction on what make to buy and what's worth the money etc to perform an accurate finish.
i was looking at proto tools and I dunno the prices look a bit steep? Or is that the normal?
is it easier to build your own having buying the parts separate if I make a table?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers,
chris
