    Great inspiration! Did you fix the rails directly to the extrusions?

    Yes. I broke a couple of taps along the way and it took me ages to remove them and rescue the hole.
    I used the completed gantry to help me ensure the rails were lined up. E.g. I made up the gantry first and put the long rails in it before screwing them down.
