Afternoon all, I am fairly new to CNC I am looking to buy my first large machine having played with a MDX-20 (although hindered by proprietary software)
Off the shelf machines seem to be expensive, Chinese seem cheap but not found a good review yet. which brings me to looking at an open build particularly http://ooznest.co.uk and there OX variant.
Has anyone envy experience of the http://ooznest.co.uk machine and looking at either the 750x1000 or 1000x1000 depending on final budget as would still need to buy spindle/controller/motors.
for the controller and drivers I am looking at these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CNC-3-axis...4AAOSwWKtUxjS3
and the motors just going to get those from ooziest
http://ooznest.co.uk/3D-Printer-Elec...-Stepper-Motor
For now I only want to cut 10mm dense form board (foamlite) but will probably want to cut wood later and acrylic.
Any input welcome as I am sure I have lots to learn
