These are the remains of an ALTO MACRO 2400 amp, rated for 2.5kW constant output. Whilst I doubt the transformer is capable of that power for very long, due to its size, it will be more than capable of running several stepper motors. Edit: from the size of the transformer I estimate it is 1200VA
The transformer has says 40 and 80v secondaries. See pictures...
If the 40/80V is too high you could always wind some wire on the transformer out of phase to drop it a bit.
This includes the case which would serve as a very good mount for stepper drivers, combined with an excellent heatsink down the middle with fans.
Furthermore, some other bits of the amplifier might be in working order, which I'm sure would be useful to someone.
£70 or near offer including postage. It's very heavy.
