Hi Folks
Let me introduce myself. John, from Carlisle, with a hobby machine shop, which is growing satifactorily.
I have a Colchester Bantam lathe to which I have fitted DRO. I am in the process of a refurb on a "Spinner" cutter grinder, and I have a Deckel FP1 universal mill.
I have become interested in CNC because I feel that I should
I am planning to fit CNC to a compound table and plant it on the table of the Deckel Mill.
I have done some "net searching" and have a bit of info. I have gathered some of the necessary gear, but I feel I could benefit from some one to one advice from someone who has done something similar in the way of a conversion.
I am prepared to travel within reason (a couple of hours or so)
Is there anyone out there who might be able to help?

So !
Been here a week now!
Tried to introduce myself politely!
Not a word of welcome despite loads of views.
As I look down the list of recent self introductions the majority seem to have no response.
Are newbies wasting their time here ?
How do other newbies feel?
