Chester 626 milling machine conversion.
Hi Lads, first post here goes!
A few years ago I decided to convert a Chester 626 milling machine to CNC, actually about six years ago. The project was put on hold due to more pressing shop projects, so today I thought I may
as well knock the dust off the machine and get back on and finish the project.
The 626 mill.

The build quality of my 626 mill is shocking and converting it to CNC is the kindest thing for it lol.
A few examples of the quality of this mill.

So now I need something to carry the Z axis lead screw bearings,
A suitable chunk of steel was chosen to make the carrier.
