Putting together a stepper motor kit
Hi all, I have been researching a 3 axis stepper motor kit, from the advice I have been given this forum, I have decided to go with a 80v set up, have seen some stepper motors from cnc4you, they are 8 wire 4Nm model number 60BYG401-03, and also the drivers to match which are 6.0A, 80V CNC Microstepping CW8060, also from cnc4you, i need advice on the the psu and the breakout board to with the motors and drivers, I am not quite sure which would best, either from cnc4you or elsewhere. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul53,
Checkout post #95 in my buildlog.
Clive S pointed out the parts for a diy psu.

It is excelent advice.
When i measure voltage there is only about 2 volt drop at max speed running all 4 4nm nema 23 steppers.
I have 235volt input 72volt output rectified.
I have 3 4700 capacitors.
Did you say you have the UC300eth ?
Best board out there is sold by:
https://www.cncroom.com/interface-cards/uc300eth-ub1
Also sold separately.

It is expensive though.
I went for cheap dual 5 axis boards.
I added cheap relays.
I have all the IO i need.
There was some tinkering needed to run 24v signaling icw cheap boards.
UB1 has native 24v support for IO.

For the machine I think you have I would just use a simple bob to get you going if the PC has a PP https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-Axis-CN...gAAOSwHUlbkLzl
