Yes If you know how to speak Modbus and the Modbus is implemented correctly at both ends. I agree if more advanced speed control and monitoring is required then Modbus is great tool and not rocket...

There are so meny variables when building a machine to it's accurecy. All this talk of unsupported or supported, profiled etc is a bit lost and pointless on 95% of DIY builds because of other areas...

Right pin 16 and 17 is for adding another axis (4th axis via separate board) and if i remember rightly from my old version the board was software enabled (could be wrong) so you will not get anything...

The corner marking is chatter probably due to radius being the same size as cutter, if you can make your radius just slightly larger than the cutter this won't happen.

I payed about that for my 1400x1200 bed but made from 40x16 strips spaced 10mm apart to creat Tslots. EDIT: It was worth every penny thou.! and thinking about it was cheaper than that £200 inc vat...

Don't think you'll need as much room inside the box section as you think because you only really need say approx 10-12mm more than the length of the coupling because the shafts of both motor and...

It maybe easier retro fitting so it could be used with Mach3.? It would mean drawing and generating G-code in external software but you would have far more support and flexabilty.
