Re: Huanyang HY02D223B manual speed control

Pd002 =1 for external control and you need to set the jumper at the side next to the terminals to the opposite of what it's set to know, you will see 3 pins and a little black jumper bridging across...

    Re: Which laser module?

I don't have any experience with engraving, I use the laser for cutting so just set the intensity like you would for the spindle speed for the whole job. Its one of those things that I know I could...

    Re: Which laser module?

They are basic methods of either turning the laser on/off (TTL) and controlling the power of the laser (PMW)

Re: How do I rest z axis

Not what you want to hear - but almost certainly better to replace steppers with closed-loop.

You *could* attach rotary encoders onto each screw and - not sure of any COTS solution - knock up an...

    Re: Does this sound normal?

Ok well, 15mm isn't a common pitch size but they do exist. However still, things don't add up.?

The drives are set for 2000 micro-steps and your direct drive to the motors. 2000/15=133.333333...

    Re: Does this sound normal?

Ok well, straight away I can see something is odd because 125 Steps per setting doesn't add up.? The DM860A doesn't offer a micro-step setting that matches this setting when used with a 5mm pitch...

    Re: Does this sound normal?

Even 60Vdc isn't enough to reliably run 34's in my view.
I know I'm talking of a mill with gibs here and routers are looser running, but still., I could not get my 1080oz reliably above 450rpm...

    Doesn`t sound good.

Did you buy it new ?
If so, surely you should be able to send it back or at least get it repaired under warranty or something.

    Re: Does this sound normal?

No, it does not sound right. I'm leaning towards electrical problem rather than mechanical, especially running at a higher feed rate removes it. Check all the electrical connections are tight.

    Re: Does this sound normal?

    Couple questions to start.

Does it still do it with the spindle not running?

Is the machine maintaining the correct position?
I.e. if you start at X0Y0, run the program, then command a move...

Re: Proximity switches or limit switches

No that would be Active Low.
Because the type is N/C Mach sees the signal all the time(High) and when signal disappears (low) the pin goes active. So it's (Active Low)
If it was N/O type it would...
