    There is proper guideway lube from manufacturers like mobil, which I think would be a massive waste and too expensive for the sake of cheap chinese copy rails on a little router.

    The de facto is white lithium grease, which you can get anywhere.

    Anything lubricating should do the job though, motor oil etc... I've been using silicone lube on mine and the ballscrews, with the rails and screws exposed and constantly getting showered in shit, all the chips and stuff stick to grease and oil but the silicon prevents that, nice and easy. Just go round with a quick regular spray.
