Brass electrode for HF-welder
I have a possible new project - welding fixture for HF-welder.
Attachment 22231
Overall the fixture is quite basic except for the brass electrode.
Electrode profile dimensions 30x6,5mm. Overall fixture size is 900x700mm
I have not seen this fixture in real life, but common sense would be to bend it from a bar stock. But considering it has to have quite tight tolerances and 2 identical top and bottom contour - this makes it extremely difficult. Though I do not have any experience with brass bending...
Surely it is not milled out from solid?! :D
What do you think guys? How it`s made?
Re: Brass electrode for HF-welder
Looks like annealed brass flat bar, you should be able to bend it OK.

Could you mill a shallow slot in the back plate for the brass to sit in ? that way it would maintain accuracy.

Good idea!
I was thinking of milling out the template and bend the brass bar around that template. Guess I will have to just test it.
