Better but still no inner triangle brace.!! See pic of brace on my machine. It's only a small thing but does help stiffen and dampen vibration more than it looks.

No on the VFD there's Signal terminals for Run/stop and direction. You take a wire from the DCM terminal on VFD and pass it thru the contact of the Relay on the BOB then back to the Run terminal on...

Having realized that SBR20 rails are 45mm wide I scrapped the 80x40x4 box section in favour of 50x50x4. I've plugged the figures into the gantry stiffness calculator and if I understand it correctly...

The Kress is in the end still a router, not a proper spindle. It will have more run-out, be noisier etc and won't last forever. The minimum rpm is 5000 ... whereas you can go lower with the water...
