Re: 4' x 4' x 8" Router Build
Decent drives, and I would be happy using 55V AC with those.
I have a home-built CNC router, roughly 1500x750mm cutting area, and the gantry is about 1m long and fairly heavy - especially with a... -

No, sorry I meant to say shielding not earth, but yes the shielding for that group of wires, not the connections themselves...
So I'm talking about the control wire you would also install so that... -

Entirely normal, if the cost is over £135.
Under £135, the seller should be VAT registered, and collect the VAT on the UKs (and I think it's also came in for the EU) behalf. If you paid through an... -

Last time I used Aliexpress they used an intermediate holding area (escrow?) for my payment and it was only released to the seller when I received it. I’m pretty happy with that. Also if it is Fred...

Re: 4' x 4' x 8" Router Build
Why are you gearing 2:1 if using a 10mm pitch.? It's not required and would actually be detrimental to the machine as it will be slow. If you are trying to lower the screw speed then go with a 20mm...

Don't be messing around with sand etc because while it dampens vibrations... -
