If you use a certain size aluminium profile for the gantry (90 by 45 mm I think) you can mount the BK/BF ballscrew supports directly to it, which makes things easier.

Zapp Automation make their gantry machine from 5083 tooling plate.

You can also buy the tooling plate from there. That's what I am using for my gantry sides & z-axis....

You could try posting a request for a quote here - RFQ. I know there are a few people here who have helped out others by making the aluminium plates for gantry sides & z-axis.
