    Re: Help with proximity sensors

Yes a simple switch will work fine without any other stuff attached. You could still use the proxy switches but you would also need relays.

    Re: Help with proximity sensors

    I think you did.
I don't think those switches will work on 5v. I think they are rated to work between 10 and 55vdc going by the picture.

    Re: Welding magnets-any information?

Magnetism and welding don't really mix, it distorts the arc. That said these type of magnets are ok if your are simply going to hold the material to tack it up before removing them and fully welding...

Maybe this will make it a bit clearer. This is part of my machine drawings. The top one is the safety relay and this brings in the two safety relays in the other picture. The two safety relays...

The laser assembly could be mounted on the machine without any problems. This takes away the need for long flight tubes, beam paths and alignment issues.

    Re: Stepper wiring/colour coding

I would go with the colour coding from the correct data sheet. Check the data sheet and check the wiring of the motor against it with a multi meter to ensure that the winding correspond with the...

Yes get the faces of the clamp reduced a bit. As you say about 2mm would probably do the job but check it again after its done.

  17. Re: Help for MOTOR 2.2 Kw and control board.

I didn't realise that you have stalled the motor while cutting. As Irvine says you have probably taken out the output stage. Try replacing all of them as he says and see what happens. But you could...
  18. Re: Help for MOTOR 2.2 Kw and control board.

I was busy looking at the pictures when irving replied. The box is as he says a mains filter. If this was faulty it would cause the fuse in the supply plug to blow and not the ones on the control...
  19. Re: Help for MOTOR 2.2 Kw and control board.

Looks like the motor is inverter driven.
1- Some inverters will shut down depending on what type of fault they see on the motor windings and some don't, they just blow up.
    2- As above
    3- Any oil...

Re: How about a mycncuk cnc router project?

I think some people seem to look at cutting alloy as a type of benchmark for the machine. Maybe thinking that if it can cut alloy then it will do everything else they need. just my thoughts though.
