Re: Looking for 60W PSU in the UK????

Well, there's salutary lesson in checking things again and again....

Fitting the new PSU, drilled holes, mounted, went to check the connections and.......found what was the original fault !

Re: Looking for 60W PSU in the UK????

Thats what i thought, i'll keep that idea as a final option. I think i am right that in this instance I would continue the earth connection through to the machine as well, for static and safety...

Re: Looking for 60W PSU in the UK????

Nah, i looked inside the one i have and it has semiconductors bolted to the back case panel.

I could make an adaptor mount panel easily if the sizes work out, if not i'll have to drill some holes.

Re: Looking for 60W PSU in the UK????

I'll order a cloudray unit, its the same code but different mounting so holes to drill etc :(

I have opened it up, no visible signs of any fault, its just leaky i think, just...

BUILD LOG: Re: MK1 Steel router build log 1500x800x200

I would probe the work piece each time unless running batches of same parts.

Tools are good to have in cam library it makes collision detection easy, simulation works as well, you will generally...

    BUILD LOG: Re: New start

Yes its not really hard to learn, just that its so powerful, most users will likely only ever need to learn 10% of the functionality :)

I knew nothing about 3d and after about 3m of messing about...

Yep, completely reeks of scam but with PayPal in between, nothing to lose really.
  15. BUILD LOG: Re: New build with recycled parts on a ridiculous budget 120cm*60cm work area

Wow, thats a price i cant resist, one on order!

I'll put it on the mill, if that lives more than a day i'll get one for the plasma cutter.

Only concern is the resistance touch panel, not as...

Don't beat yourself up over it- probably someone that does not even know what it is. The videos are perfect - detailed, informative, light-hearted where needed and very clear.

will be 10,000 i think - they call it "all edges" so it senses 2500 rising edges plus 2500 falling edges and then the same again on the quadrature output so 10,000

If using R&P, yes spring load the pinion against the rack - this takes out 99% of the backlash, but also fit a stop to the motor/plate to stop it being able to disengage or jump the rack if...

  25. BUILD LOG: Re: New build with recycled parts on a ridiculous budget 120cm*60cm work area

I would not bother with pre-charge, this supply is not big enough to need it, as long as the rectifier is big enough to take the inrush as well as a slow-blow fuse in the input it should work fine.
