This is a simple way to do it, create a macro loop and set it to autorun..the example shown pulses jets of air by activating output 3,1 on and off when the function 116 is active (m7 mist coolant)...

Well, wouldn't worry about the gantry not being suitable because it's more than strong enough. However, because the rails don't go all the way to the ends then you would have to use a wine rack type...

Zeeflyboy- The reason you probably haven't seen any evidence in tests is because they are trying to sell or promote Closed loop. Also they are not comparing Apples with Apples in most cases.

Tom Charge Pump and Macro pump are completely different things so if you have set the Charge Pump Output this could be why having troubles.
Charge pump isn't used with Cslabs so clear this Output.

the M542 stepper drive enable is a negative logic input
the driver is enabled by no input to the enable terminals !
(+EN &-EN being at the same voltage or left disconnected )

I do it just same as Goblin explained for limits and it works fine even with cheap prox swiches. Even with one switch at each end which I rarely do as I like to keep wiring to a minimum they work...
