Hello
ive got these as a full setup on my router. bought from Zappautomation and i have never had a problem with them except 2 driver bards burning out but that was my fault with the wiring.
Once i put right board to right power supply all has been faultless and that will be around 5 yrs ago.
i recommend them no problem. Expensive and closed loop but you get what you pay for.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi,
Thanks.
All these drivers are different.
So far, I have found this information, maybe useful for someone:
Leadshine: HBS86, HBS86H - They should be similar to models ES-D808 and ES-D1008. Tuning software is available, parameters can be adjusted.
JSS Motor: HSS86 - No tuning software. Parameters cannot be changed.
JMC Motor: 2HSS86H - Parameter upload is possible via a handheld device sold separately. There are rumors, that a PC tuning software is available, too.

The Leadshine HBS series was the original easily available closed loop stepper system.
The JSS and JMC versions are copies.
Leadshine has since updated their system, but nobody else has.Avoiding the rubbish customer service from AluminiumWarehouse since July '13.

Thanks for sharing this info. Does it mean that all of them perform roughly the same? What is your opinion? Is the updated Leadshine worth the money for a hobby CNC builder? They cost almost twice as much.

I have used both genuine Leadshine and the Copies. There is very little difference between them in performance terms. However, the Leadshines are more configurable regards settings if you need to play around with resonance tuning etc. But Digital drives are that good these days you very rarely need to anything with them.
I've used both these on several machines and I'm very happy with them.
