Using the internal flash on the thin-client? It'd be worth keeping an eye on the performance of the internal storage in case that's worn (though I'd expect the OS to report something). You talk of turning it on/off - I'm expecting that is through a controlled shut-down and not just power switch?, might be worth googling if the version of CE (I think I saw a post that said you'd installed CE) you're running is compatible with the flash storage and is fully syncing device writes before shutdown.

Well the flash shouldn't be worn as the thin client I'm using now is a brand new Dell 5010 (£27 off the Bay of fleas) - the Hp is running the Audio precision - and I'm using the original Dell image albeit slightly trimmed down - and yes, I am logging off before shutdown, though Win 7 CES seems to be rather better than XP in terms of delayed write from the little I've played with it - or is it just that it doesn't give so many notifications I wonder??.
Just had an email from Balazs @ CNCdrive, from what I understand the "screen file not found message" is slightly misleading, it's the profile that's got damaged/is missing He's also mentioned that there's a profile auto-backup utility in the plugins section which sounds like it's well worth using.
