Yep, as I have said before you cant easily design every element of a machine without masses of engineering know how and expensive FEA software so the best approach is to over engineer the frame.

Well to be fair the first post did say 1000N cutting force so guessing big cutters will be used and with 0.05mm accuracy that's not much error budget within the whole machine.

I think it was left hand to resist loosening during rotation, you should be able to chase the direction of the thread that is visible.

You can easily get rid of backlash in lead screws by tensioning (or compressing) two nuts together but the resultant friction is often more of a problem than the backlash. My little... -
