You don't set the slaving in mach3 Config/Slave axis you set it in the Cslabs Plugin. Go to to Config/Config plugins and select the Cslabs plugin and do it from within there.

You will want to multiply the ratios, not add them. So 1600 multiplied by 1.3, divided by 5. So 416 unless I misread?

To set up correctly you need to know the screw pitch and the micro-steps set on drives. Divide the micro-steps by the pitch and this is your steps...

Not sure about Mach3 but in LinuxCNC the gantry runs to the switch at relatively high speed, backs off a few mm and then runs back to the switch again more slowly to get a more consistent homing...

I would remind you that all wires should be securely held down with cable ties or P-clips to stop the joins flexing. Movement at joints is the most likely place for failure.

Doesn't matter do what is best for your application. Just make sure that if the junction box is lets say 600mm away from motor or switch that the 600mm worth of screen joins the remaining screen...

I would strip the wires at both ends, solder and then heatshrink each individual wire, before bringing the shielding back up and over as much as possible then heatshrinking over that.

You are using an IP-M why would you wire them in series you're not short of inputs surely.? Wiring prox switches in series slows there reaction time so it, if not needed, wouldn't do it.
